Angel Investing 101: Who Are Angels? What Do They Do? And, How Do I Become One?

The session will talk about the history of angel investing. It will review typical investment types, dollar amounts and deal structure as well as will provide a primer on the investment process including deal sourcing, screening, structuring and the value of participating in angel groups.

This workshop will explore how market trends affect the needs and behaviors of both investors and entrepreneurs and what angel investors believe are the best - and worst - practices by companies who are seeking funding for their company.

This presentation will include a discussion on quarterly reporting standards and recommendations for efficient and effective communications which lead to success.

During this portion of the program, selected entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to meeting with Venture Capitalist and representatives from angel groups in the state and surrounding states and give their quick pitch.
